For the 2014 Classic a two pound weight allowance will be given for teams wrestling the night before the Classic. Also, the OSAA growth allowance will be in effect. Actual weights will be recorded at weigh-ins. Participants will be able to wrestle in their weight class or one weight class above. If a wrestler fails to make the same weight the second day, he/she will be locked into the higher weight. If a wrestler fails to make either weight class from the first day, he/she will be ineligible the second day of the tournament.
If a wrestler weighs 110 lbs or less, you may wrestle in the 106 or 113 lb. weight class If a wrestler weighs 110.1 to 117 lbs, you may wrestle in the 113 or 120 lb. weight class If a wrestler weighs 117.1 to 124 lbs, you may wrestle in the 120 or 126 lb. weight class If a wrestler weighs 124.1 to 130 lbs. you may wrestle in the 126 or 132 lb. weight class If a wrestler weighs 130.1 to 136 lbs, you may wrestle in the 132 or 138 lb. weight class If a wrestler weighs 136.1 to 142 lbs, you may wrestle in the 138 or 145 lb. weight class If a wrestler weighs 142.1 to 149 lbs, you may wrestle in the 145 or 152 lb. weight class If a wrestler weighs 149.1 to 156 lbs, you may wrestle in the 152 or 160 lb. weight class If a wrestler weighs 156.1 to 164 lbs, you may wrestle in the 160 or 170 lb. weight class If a wrestler weighs 164.1 to 174 lbs, you may wrestle in the 170 or 182 lb. weight class If a wrestler weighs 174.1 to 186 lbs, you may wrestle in the 182 or 195 lb. weight class If a wrestler weighs 186.1 to 199 lbs, you may wrestle in the 195 or 220 lb. weight class If a wrestler weighs 199.1 to 224 lbs, you may wrestle in the 220 or 285 lb. weight class If a wrestler weighs 224.1 to 289 lbs, you may wrestle only in the 285 lb. weight class
There will be a breakfast feed on Saturday and Sunday morning, the 18th and 19h, at Applebees near the entrance to the Deschutes County Fairgrounds. It is sponsored by a youth baseball program in the Redmond area. It is supported by the Les Schwab Tires of Redmond and The Oregon Wrestling Classic.
The Oregon National Guard of Salem has become a special contributor of the Oregon Wrestling Classic. Please note the 12 National Guard mats on the floor provided by the Oregon National Guard. Please visit their booth on the upper concourse of the arena.
Attention Cadets. The Cadet Division for the 2013 Classic is an open tournament. Some wrestlers signed up at the qualifying tournaments, others did not. If you have not previously signed up, you may do so at the weigh-ins which are Saturday evening at 6:00-7:00 or Sunday morning 7:00-8:00. All weigh ins will be in the Middle Sisters Building at the fairgrounds. USA Wrestling cards are required and fee is $20.All other Kids Divisions (Bantam, Intermediate, Novice and Schoolboy/girl must have wrestled at a qualifying tournament. See “Schedule” on this website for all information needed for the tournament.
School boy/girl and Cadet Division wrestlers will weigh-in on Saturday night, 6:00-7:00 PM, not during the day on Saturday. There will also be a 7:00-8:00 AM weigh-in on Sunday for Schoolboy/girl and Cadets only. These two divisions will only wrestle on Sunday. Novice will start on Saturday afternoon (weigh-in at 1:00 PM on Saturday) and finish on Sunday. All Bantam and Intermediates must weigh-in at 1:00PM on Saturday. Bantam and Intermediates will wrestle on Saturday only.
The committee of the Oregon Wrestling Classic has negotiated the following dates for the Classic over the next five years. The tournament will correspond to the week end before Martin Luther King Day on that Monday in January. Please note the following future dates for the Oregon Wrestling Classic

- 2015—-January 16th, 17th, and 18th
- 2016—-January 15th, 16th, and 17th
- 2017—-January 13th, 14th, and 15th

The Oregon Wrestling Classic Committee has established ticket prices for the 2013 tournament. A day ticket for Adults will be $10.00 and for Seniors and students $5.00. That price will be for Friday and Saturday, January 14th and 15th. For Sunday, the Adult ticket will be $5.00 for all day. Seniors and students will be admitted free for Sunday’s wrestling.
